18th August 1933: Nazis reveal the Volksempfänger, a low-cost radio receiver, to the public
The development of the Volksempfänger, which translates as ‘people's receiver,’ was initiated by Joseph Goebbels, the Minister of Propaganda for the Nazi regime. His goal was to make radio technology accessible to the general population, so that it could be used as a means of disseminating Nazi propaganda.
The Volksempfänger was designed by engineer Otto Griessing, and his receiver was chosen over those developed by the established electronics firms Blaupunkt and Telefunken. Known as the VE 301, the first model was introduced to the public at the 10th Berlin Radio Show. The name ‘VE 301’ was symbolic as it referenced January 30, 1933, the date Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germa...

As French forces struggled on multiple fronts, the Vendée region broke out in open rebellion ag...

Просмотров 53413 часов назад
The roots of the partition can be traced back to the growing demand for independence from British rule, which had gained momentum in the early 20th century. The Indian National Congress, led by figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, advocated for a united, secular India. In contrast, the All-India Muslim League, under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, pushed for a separate Musli...
11th August 106: Roman Emperor Trajan declares Dacia (modern Romania) a Roman province
Просмотров 33220 часов назад
The incorporation of Dacia into the Roman Empire marked the culmination of the Dacian Wars, which were fought between the Roman Empire and the Dacian Kingdom. The first war began in 101 CE and ended the following year with a Roman victory. However, a second war erupted in 105 CE when Roman legions, under Trajan’s command, launched a decisive campaign against the Dacian King Decebalus. After a s...

Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl aimed to test his theory that early South American civilizations could have made long sea voyages and reached the islands of the Pacific. He and his team studied ancient rafts depicted in pre-Columbian Inca culture to construct a raft built from balsa wood and other indigenous materials, which he named Kon-Tiki, another name for the Inca sun god, Viracocha. 23rd July 1952: Egyptian Revolution begins, overthrowing King Farouk I and ending British influence

In response the revolutionary Free Officers movement, formed in the aftermath of this war, sought to restore...

". . . in America, we have achieved the Orwellian prediction - enslaved, the people have been programmed to love their bondage and are left to clutch only mirage-like images of freedom, its fables and fictions. The new slaves are linked together by vast electronic chains of television that imprison not their bodies but their minds. Their desires are programmed, their tastes manipulated, their values set for them." - Gerry Spence, From Freedom to Slavery

Just Google "The Match Maker." The story is on ESPN and confirms Riggs set up both matches, and told the mob about it. He said he would win the first match against Court, and lose to King. Riggs owed the mob $100,000 and did these to settle his debts. It's all in black and white.

Why is it always the alpabetic order "Austrians and Russians" when people describe Napoleons opponents at Austerlitz? For every Austrian at Austerlitz there were several Russians. "Russians and Austrians", or simply "Russians" would be more consistent with the historical facts and custom. After all, the Dutch and even the Prussians that fought at Waterloo remain often enough unmentioned.

This is fantasy sick lies. The Havaara agreement clearly states Jews signed a deal with Nazis to move to Palestine. The camps turned into prisoner of war camps and then Germany was completely destroyed by carpet bombings, which wiped out railways so NO food could travel. You saw starved people after not eating for a week right??? That the time between bombings and Patton reaching the first camp.... How stupid and gullible can you be???

I was born in 1946. I recall reading their copy of Heyerdahl's "Kon Tiki", whilst I was still a young boy of maybe seven or eight. The raft was built of logs of balsa, lashed together using twine, which was all that would have been available to the South-American native tribes at that time. The incessant motion of the raft in the sea caused the lashings to cut into the soft balsa, and I recall reading of the crew's repeated efforts to tighten the raft bindings, which progressively became looser as their journey went on.
